The Eagles struck for another two runs in the bottom of the sixth once again on back-to-back doubles, this time with RBIs coming from
Timmy Fischvogt (Kernersville, N.C.) and
Zach Michalski (Belews Creek, N.C.).
The standout batter of the game was Aubrey McCarty (Doerun, Ga.) who was 5-for-5 with two home runs, two doubles, seven RBI and four runs scored, and he was also the winning pitcher for the Rattlers.
NCCU was led by Williams and Michalski who both had a pair of hits and an RBI. Also, freshman
Tony Mejias (Miami, Fla.) picked up his first career hit in the bottom of the seventh and also came around to score in his first collegiate appearance.
