North Carolina Central University Athletics

2018:  Named NCCSIA Second Team All-State and First Team All-MEAC.  Batted a team second-best .318 and led the MEAC with a school-record 51 RBI as he became the first Eagle to eclipse the 50 RBI mark.  Finished third in the MEAC with a .525 slugging percentage and second with eight home runs.  Knocked 13 doubles and stole one base with a .376 on base percentage.  Made 331 putouts with 12 assists from first base.  Named MEAC Player of the Week on March 26 after batting .438 (7-for-16) with seven RBI over five games against Maryland Eastern Shore and Savannah State.  Had one of his best games of the year during that stretch as he went 2-for-4 with two doubles and three RBI against Savannah State (March 25).  Also went 3-for-3 with an RBI, three runs scored, and a walk against Iona (March 2).  Named MEAC All-Academic.

2017:  Made 46 appearances with 45 starts, splitting time as a designated hitter and first baseman.  Batted .268 with a slugging percentage of .409 and an on base percentage of .346.  Finished top-10 in the MEAC with 32 RBI, the second most on the team on 11 doubles and four home runs.  Had 11 multi-hit games and six multi-RBI games with a team-high three four-RBI performances.  Drove in four runs against North Carolina A&T (March 11) and was 3-for-5 at the plate with two doubles and a home run, and touched home twice.  Drove in a quartet of runs again against Savannah State (March 25) during a 4-for-4 contest with two runs scored during the front end of a doubleheader.  Smacked four hits in six at bats with a double and three runs scored in the second half of the twin bill for an eight-hit day.  Finished the season on a six-game hitting streak, and an eight-game streak of reaching base safely.  Won the 2017 Coastal Plain League Home Run Derby with a total of 25 over three rounds while representing the Martinsville Mustangs.

Guilford Tech Community College (2015-16): Named First Team All-Region 10 in 2016.  Appeared in 79 games over two years and batted .316 with 12 home runs and 55 RBI.  Also collected one save in 2015 when he pitched one inning with a strikeout.

High School (Wesleyan Christian Academy):  Was an Area Code Games participant, Perfect Game USA Preseason All-American Honorable Mention in 2013 and All-Region First Team, and Perfect Game USA Underclass Second Team in 2012.  World Power Showcase Participant in 2013.  Hit .384 in his senior year with six home runs and 22 RBI.

Personal: Born Nov. 14, 1994 in Baltimore, Md.  Parents are Chris and Carole Michalski.  Enjoys hiking, playing golf and video games.  Majoring in political science with a concentration in global studies and international relations.
