Corey Joyce recorded three hits, including a double and a two-run home run, but Iona College scored seven runs in the seventh inning to pull away from the Eagles for a 12-6 victory on Saturday afternoon at the Durham Athletic Park.

Ellington Hopkins each tallied a pair of hits, while Kovalcik and junior
Zach Michalski blasted solo home runs for the Eagles.
Iona sophomore outfielder Fran Kinsey collected four hits with two doubles, two runs batted in and three runs scored. Junior infielder Sean Scales accounted for four RBI, doing most of his damage with a bases-loaded, three-run double during the decisive seventh inning for the Gaels.
NCCU (2-4) and Iona (2-0) wrap up the three-game weekend series on Sunday (Feb. 26) at 1 p.m. Admission to Durham Athletic Park is free.
