DURHAM, N.C. – The North Carolina Central men's golf team will compete in six tournaments in the 2026 spring season, beginning with the Arcis HBCU Championship on Sunday and Monday. The event will take place at The Club in Weston Hills in Weston, Fla., with Sunday's tee times to be determined.
NCCU is among five Division I teams in the tournament. The golfers will play 36 holes on Sunday and 18 holes on Monday.
Last season, NCCU standout
Jamal Hutchison won the Arcis Championship by two strokes over Miguel Ilas of Florida A&M. Hutchison fired a four-under 176 score through three rounds.
After the Arcis HBCU Championship, the Eagles will participate in the Surf Club Invitational in North Myrtle Beach, S.C., on March 9-10, the Golden Horseshoe Intercollegiate in Williamsburg, Va., on March 23-24, and the Irish Creek Intercollegiate in Kannapolis, N.C., on April 6-7.
The postseason starts for the Eagles on April 23-26 at the NEC Championship in Ellicott City, Md. The final tournament is at the PGA Works Collegiate Championship in West Palm Beach, Fla., on May 4-6.
The NCCU team features 10 golfers including Hutchison,
Jalen Brown,
Christian Fisher,
Clay Green,
Kyle Gregory,
Kobe Narcisse,
Hershal Patel,
Nico Tucker,
Ben Wade and
Mateo Zolezzi. Hutchison is a returning All-NEC player - a first for an NCCU golfer – and the program's 54-hole record-holder (two-under 208), which he set in the fall of 2025 at the SAS HBCU Invitational.
Kendall Wallace is in his second year as NCCU head coach.
