BRIDGEWATER, N.J. – The academic awards continue to roll in for the North Carolina Central golf program this week.
Sixteen Eagles made the Northeast Conference (NEC) Spring Academic Honor Roll on Tuesday for recording cumulative 3.2 grade point averages or higher. The men's golfers were
Jalen Brown,
Clay Green,
Kyle Gregory,
Jamal Hutchison,
Christian Fisher,
Kobe Narcisse,
Hershal Patel,
Mateo Zolezzi and
Ben Wade.
On the women's team, the golfers were
Aubree Clements,
Sanaa Carter,
Kaitlyn Kruczek,
Josefina Rendo,
Sidney Renville,
Mya Smith and
Cailynn Winford.
Five Eagles earned an even higher distinction. Brown, Gregory and Patel on the men's team and Renville and Smith on the women's team are on the NEC Spring Commissioner's Honor Roll for posting at least a 3.75 cumulative grade point average.
Overall, the NEC highlighted 1,685 student-athletes on the spring academic honor roll and 633 on the Commissioner's honor roll, both record highs.
The NEC academic awards come on the heels of six Eagles earning Academic All-District At-Large honors from the College Sports Communicators on Tuesday. Gregory and Patel were named to the men's team while Clements, Renville, Smith and Winford were selected to the women's squad.
