BRIDGEWATER, N.J. – The positive attitude of the North Carolina Central men's golf team earned it an award from the Northeast Conference (NEC) on Friday.
The Eagles won the NEC Team Sportsmanship Award in men's golf for their exceptional conduct on the course during the 2025-26 season. The NCCU golf program, led by Head Coach
Kendall Wallace, has a reputation for good character. Last season, the Eagles received the same honor in women's golf.
The accolade recognizes a team in each NEC sport that best exemplifies the conference's Principles of Sportsmanship and Standards of Conduct. A winner is determined at the season's conclusion on voting by teams and head coaches, who rank teams within the conference based on a set of criteria.
NCCU has been an NEC associate member in men's and women's golf since 2023.
