WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – Jamal Hutchison of North Carolina Central made the All-Tournament Team after tying for sixth in the Northeast Conference (NEC) Men's Golf Championship at Kingsmill Resort River Course on Saturday.
The top 10 individual golfers earned All-Tournament honors in the three-day championship.
Hutchison bettered last year's 16th place showing in the NEC Championship. He fired a four-over 217 over three days to tie two golfers on the par 71, 6,831-yard course.
The NCCU golfer placed among the 10 ten participants despite shooting a five-over 76 on Saturday. His best day was Friday when he scored a two-under 69. Hutchison started the tournament with a one-over 72 on Thursday.
The Eagles concluded the spring season after placing 10th (945 score) out of 11 squads in the championship team standings. Hutchison, however, will compete individually in the PGA WORKS Collegiate Championship in Kohler, Wisc., on May 5-7.
