NCCU Golf Set For SAS HBCU Invitational

DURHAM, N.C. – The North Carolina Central men's and women's golf teams will compete in the SAS Championship HBCU Invitational at Prestonwood Country Club in Cary, N.C. on Saturday (Oct. 11) and Sunday (Oct. 12).

TOURNAMENT FORMAT
The HBCU golfers will play 54 holes in three rounds over two days on the Fairways Course at Prestonwood. Tee time is 8 a.m. for Saturday's first round with the second round immediately following the first round. Sunday's final round begins at 8:30 a.m.

The HBCU golfers will share the course with the PGA Tour golfers, who will compete in the SAS Championship professional tournament at the same venue over the weekend.

PARTICIPANTS
Six teams, including NCCU, are in the Men's Division I tournament. The Eagles will face Alabama A&M, North Carolina A&T, Southern, Texas Southern and defending champion Arkansas-Pine Bluff.

NCCU is part of a five-team field in the Women's Division tournament including North Carolina A&T, Southern, Texas Southern and Alabama State, the defending champion.
