KANNAPOLIS, N.C. – Nico Tucker of North Carolina Central played his finest golf of the spring season this week, tying for 19^th out of 80 golfers at the Irish Creek Intercollegiate on Tuesday.
 
Tucker fired a four-over 217 through three rounds, highlighted by an even par 71 in both the first and second rounds Monday on the 7,005-yard layout at The Club at Irish Creek. The result was Tucker's best finish this season, topping his performance at the Golden Horseshoe Intercollegiate in March where he placed 37^th out of 86 competitors.

Jamal Hutchison of NCCU tied for 39^th with an 11-over 224 including a two-over 73 in the second round. As a team, the Eagles carded a 59-over 911 through three rounds to finish 11th in the standings.

After wrapping up the regular season, the Eagles will direct their attention to the NEC Championship, which will be held April 24-26 in Ellicott City, Md.
