NORFOLK, Va. – North Carolina Central University is well represented on the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference All-Academic list as the Eagles have 16 student-athletes on the list, the conference office announced.
A total of 115 student-athletes were named to the list from the conference's nine baseball institutions.
On the list for NCCU are: senior pitcher
Nick Caregnato, senior infielder
Dominic Cuevas, sophomore catcher
Ryan Decker, senior pitcher
Jonathan Figueroa, sophomore catcher
Timmy Fischvogt, senior outfielder
Evan Holland, sophomore infielder
Corey Joyce, junior pitcher
Andrew King, senior pitcher
Josh Little, senior pitcher
Jake McCort, senior infielder
Zach Michalski, junior pitcher
Justice Sampson, senior pitcher
Devin Sweet, senior infielder
Andrew Valichka, senior pitcher
Marcus Washburn, and senior pitcher
Kameron Winburn.
The MEAC honors sophomore, junior, and senior student-athletes with a 3.0 or better cumulative grade point average (GPA), as well as transfer student-athletes who have been in residence at the institution for at least one year.
"I am excited to congratulate our baseball student-athletes who have maintained a 3.0 or better grade point average during this academic school year," said Commissioner Dr. Dennis E. Thomas. "In addition to recognizing the student-athletes' achievements, I also commend the institutions' academic support staffs, coaches and parents for their support in the success of these student-athletes both on the diamond and in the classroom."
