NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – The North Carolina Central men's golf team competed in the Surf Club Invitational at Surf Golf & Beach Club this week (March 9-10).
Jamal Hutchison was the Eagles' top individual finisher, firing an even-par 213 to tie for 39
th place out of 107 competitors. NCCU was 16
th out of 18 teams with a score of 892 in the team standings.
The golfers played 54 holes through three rounds on the par 71, 6,604-yard layout. Drew Walker of North Carolina A&T was the individual winner with a 13-under 200 score and Georgia State was the team champion after carding a score of 815.

The Eagles will take a week off before hitting the links at the Golden Horseshoe Intercollegiate in Williamsburg, Va., on March 23-24.
