DURHAM, N.C. – The North Carolina Central women's golf team is slated to play six tournaments in the spring including the season-opening Lady Bison Invitational on Monday and Tuesday (March 2-3) at Hawkstone Country Club in Gainesville, Fla.
Thirteen teams including NCCU are set to participate in the 54-hole tournament. Other teams competing are The Citadel, Saint Francis, Maryland Eastern Shore, Jackson State, Southern, Monmouth, Bethune-Cookman, Youngstown State, Queens of Charlotte, Albany, Chicago State and Howard, the host team.
After the Lady Bison Invitational, the Eagles head to Williamsburg, Va., for the Kingsmill Intercollegiate on March 23-24. The rest of the regular season schedule includes The Mimosa Invitational in Morganton, N.C., on March 30-31 and the Carolina Cup in Chapel Hill, N.C., on April 4.
The postseason begins with the NEC Championship in Ellicott City, Md., on April 16-19. The Eagles conclude the season at the PGA WORKS Collegiate Championship in West Palm Beach, Fla., on May 4-6.

In the fall, NCCU placed second in two tournaments – the Thomas W. Dortch Jr. HBCU Golf Invitational and the SAS Championship HBCU Invitational. The trio of Carter, Renville and Clements finished third, fourth and tied for fifth, respectively, at the Dortch Jr. HBCU Invitational and Carter was third at the SAS HBCU Invitational.
