BRIDGEWATER, N.J. – Standout freshman Sanaa Carter of North Carolina Central was named to the All-NEC Women's Golf Team on Tuesday.

Carter joined former golfer Trinity Ahing as the only Eagles to earn All-NEC honors since the program became an associate member in the 2022-23 season. Ahing was a first-team selection in 2025.

A native of Jacksonville, N.C., Carter is one of four freshmen on the 10-member all-conference team and one of three first-year golfers on the second unit.

Her 76.8 scoring average ranks among the lowest in the NEC. She turned heads at the NEC Championship two weekends ago, placing sixth out of 75 competitors to earn All-Tournament honors and gain a spot on the All-Conference squad.

Carter and her teammates gained a bid to play in the PGA WORKS Collegiate Championship, which will be held May 4-6 in West Palm Beach, Fla.
