DURHAM, N.C. – North Carolina Central opens the 2025 women's golf fall season at the Elon Invitational in Burlington, N.C., on Monday, Sept. 15. The two-day tournament begins at 8:30 a.m. with a shotgun start both days at Alamance Country Club.
PARTICIPANTS
The Eagles will compete against 13 teams on the par 71, 6,026-yard layout course. The other teams are Appalachian State, Charleston Southern, host Elon, Gardner-Webb, James Madison, Longwood, North Carolina A&T, Presbyterian, Radford, USC Upstate, William & Mary, Winthrop and Wofford. The teams will play 54 holes - 36 on Monday and 18 on Tuesday.
NCCU RETURNEES
Five golfers are back from last season's squad that placed fourth out of 12 teams in the 2024-25 NEC Women's Golf Championship. The veterans are

Cailynn Winford.
NEWCOMERS
The Eagles' roster includes freshmen
Sanaa Carter and
Kaitlyn Kruczek.
HEAD COACH
Kendall Wallace enters his second season as Eagles' head coach. A former NCCU standout golfer, Wallace is also the men's head golf coach. Last season, Wallace guided the Eagles to the program's highest finish (fourth) in the NEC Women's Golf Championships. NCCU also captured the NEC Women's Golf Team Sportsmanship Award.
