BRIDGEWATER, N.J. – The North Carolina Central golf program was recognized by the Northeast Conference as all 13 members made the 2025 NEC Spring Academic Student-Athlete Honor Roll. The Eagles' golf program competes in the NEC.
The NCCU honorees were
Trinity Ahing,
Aubree Clements,
Josefina Rendo,
Sidney Renville,
Mya Smith and
Cailynn Winford on the women' team and
Jalen Brown,
Clay Green,
Kyle Gregory,
Jamal Hutchison,
Kobe Narcisse,
Hershal Patel and
Ben Wade on the men's squad.
Five NCCU golfers – Brown, Gregory, Patel, Renville and Smith – also made the 2025 Spring Commissioner's Student-Athlete Honor Roll.
Overall, the NEC recognized 1,467 student-athletes who earned spots on the Spring Academic Honor Roll by posting a grade point average of 3.20 or higher. Among them, 531 landed on the Commissioner's Honor Roll with a stellar GPA of 3.75 or above.
During the 2024-25 academic year, 3,397 NEC student-athletes earned spots on the Academic Honor Roll, representing more than two-thirds of all conference competitors. Additionally, there were 1,273 student-athletes named to the Commissioner's Honor Roll, the fourth-highest tally on record.
