DURHAM, N.C. – North Carolina Central golfer
Clay Green will represent the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) at the Black Student-Athlete Summit, taking place May 21-24 at the Hyatt Regency McCormick Place in Chicago.
The summit, in its 10
th year, will feature sessions on education and academics, financial literacy and entrepreneurship, health and wellness, and professional development.
"I'm honored to have been selected by my conference office to represent the entire MEAC at this event — and I can't wait to make the most of it," said Green, a business administration major.
Ryan Clark, a former NFL player and current ESPN analyst, will be a guest speaker. The summit, which also includes a career networking and graduate school fair, gives Green the chance to network with industry leaders.
"I'm excited about the opportunity to attend the Black Student-Athlete Summit because it will allow me to hone my leadership skills and learn from some of the best athletes and professionals in the field," said Green, a rising senior from Greensboro, N.C. "I'm especially looking forward to meeting new people and stepping out of my comfort zone by exploring an unfamiliar city. I believe this will be one of the most exciting and impactful experiences of my summer."
