NORFOLK, Va. – For the second time this season, Hugo Hidalgo Vega was named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Men's Player of the Week announced by the conference office on Thursday morning.

Hidalgo Vega (Madrid, Spain) earned two doubles victories and one singles win last week. With the Eagles opening MEAC play last Saturday, the senior defeated Vladisav Gorbatenko of Norfolk State University in a pair of 6-1 sets in No.1 Singles.

Paired with junior Rodrigo Alves, Hidalgo Vega triumphed in No.1 Doubles over Campbell University (6-2) and Norfolk State (6-4).

The Eagles are gearing up to travel to Orlando, Fla. during spring break to play five matches. NCCU opens the trip versus St. Thomas Aquinas on Monday, March 10 at 11 a.m.
