NORFOLK, Va. – Recent North Carolina Central University graduate and former men's tennis player Neiman Sneed was selected as the recipient of the 2025-26 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Postgraduate Scholarship.
The MEAC Postgraduate Scholarship recognizes student-athletes who demonstrate excellence in leadership and performance academically and athletically. Sneed will receive $5,000 toward his master's degree and plans to study applied analytics at Columbia University.
A leader in the classroom, community and on the courts, Sneed graduated from NCCU with a cumulative 3.65 grade point average. He was also named a four-time Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Scholar-Athlete and a three-time MEAC All-Academic Team selection.
The Augusta, Georgia native made an impact in the Bull City by volunteering with local youth through the 5K Foundation during his time as a student-athlete. That experience led him to partner with his friend KJ Chadwick to create their own mentorship program, Chadwick and Chandler.
Sneed was a member of an Eagle men's tennis team that earned the ITA Carolina Regional Community Service Award in each of the last two seasons. The team also led NCCU Athletics in cumulative GPA during both the fall and spring semesters of the 2025-26 academic year.
