WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – Cailynn Winford of North Carolina Central overcame a slow start to finish strong in the two-day Kingsmill Intercollegiate women's golf tournament, which concluded Tuesday, March 25.

The first and second rounds were held Monday and the third round was played Tuesday on the par 72, 5,924-yard course layout at Kingsmill Resort.

Winford posted consecutive 3-over 75 scores in the second and third rounds to finish tied for 22nd out of 65 golfers with a 16-over 232. She began the tournament with a 10-over 82 in the first round. Macy Johnson of Radford was the individual winner with a 6-under 210.

In the team standings, NCCU finished eighth out of 10 teams with an 86-over 950. Radford was the winner with a 5-over 869 and Penn placed second with a 19-over 883.
