SOMERSET, N.J. – Sophomore standout Jamal Hutchison of North Carolina Central was named Northeast Conference (NEC) Men's Golf Prime Performer of the Week for the third time this season.

The Prime Performer Award highlights the NEC golfers with the top performances of the week.

Hutchison was one of three golfers who earned the honor. He posted a 74.5 scoring average at the Surf City Invitational held March 10-11 in North Myrtle Beach, S.C.

The NCCU golfer fired a seven-over 149 (75-74) on the par 71 course layout. He tied for 47^th out of 108 golfers.

Hutchinson has been twice named NEC Men's Golfer of the Week in addition to his Performer of the Week honors this season.
