SAVANNAH, Ga. – The North Carolina Central men's golf team played through rain in the first two rounds of The Savannah Intercollegiate before Sunday's third round was canceled due to weather conditions.
The Eagles played six to seven holes on Sunday before the tournament was halted. The final scores are the results through the second round.
Jamal Hutchison led the Eagles with a two-under par 142 after 36 holes on Saturday including a two-under par 70 in the second round. His two-round score tied for 20
th out of 84 golfers in the tournament.
Hershal Patel shot a one-under par 71 in the first round before finishing the day with a five-over par 77 in the second round.
As a team, the Eagles shot a 26-over par 602 against tough competition. Fourteen teams competed including one nationally-ranked team.
