Carter Ties For 8th at UNCG Collegiate

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Sanaa Carter of North Carolina Central ended the fall golf season with a flourish, tying for eighth individually in the UNCG Collegiate women's tournament at Forest Oaks Country Club on Tuesday.

The NCCU freshman lowered her score each round to record a six-over 222 on the par 72, 6,011-yard course layout. After firing a five-over 77 in Monday's first round, Carter shot a two-over 74 later that day in the second round. She finished strong in Tuesday's third round, carding a one-under 71, which was the third lowest score in the round.

The 71 matched Carter's best round this season.

Carter tied three other golfers for eighth place in the tournament, which featured 67 competitors. NCCU was 10th out of 11 squads in the team standings.

The UNC Collegiate was the last fall tournament for the Eagles, who will tee off again in the spring of 2026.
