Kyle Gregory and Kobe Narcisse Become Eagles in 2022-23

DURHAM, N.C. — Interim head coach Kendra Greene has announced the signing of Kyle Gregory and Kobe Narcisse to play men's golf and study at North Carolina Central University for the upcoming 2022-23 season.

Gregory and Narcisse will be providing the Eagles with adding depth to an improving NCCU men's golf program that posted its second lowest team scoring average for a season in the program's history last season.

NC Central Men's Golf Recruits (listed alphabetically):

Kyle Gregory is an incoming freshman from Cary, North Carolina. Gregory comes to NCCU after being a three-year member of NCHSAA 4A state championship contender Green Hope High School, including a state runner-up finish last season. He will bring a high level of athleticism to the program as a high school basketball player and a recreational soccer player. Gregory earned first team all-conference honors as a junior before graduating Cum Laude.

"With Kyle being an all-around good athlete, it will assist him in successfully transitioning to the physical demands of college golf, such as walking 36 holes on the first day and 18 more holes on the second day of tournaments," said Greene. "We are excited to have Kyle join the Eagles program."

Kobe Narcisse is an incoming freshman from New Orleans, Louisiana. Narcisse had a storied junior career as an active member of the First Tee of New Orleans and playing in numerous state and regional tournaments. He had the opportunity to play with PGA Tour player and major champion Jason Day as part of the 2019 Wells Fargo Championship Pro-Am after being selected as the national recipient of the Succeeding Together Essay Contest winner through the First Tee program. Narcisse qualified for the Louisiana State Boys High School Tournament as a junior and to the state regionals as an individual his senior season at Thomas Jefferson High School.

"Kobe brings a lot of golf experience to the men's program, but also a high level of athleticism," said Greene. "Along with competing in high school and junior golf, Kobe also played at a high level of Louisiana high school football at the positions of full back and middle linebacker – all contributing to his strength and distance off the tee."
