DURHAM, N.C. – North Carolina Central University women's tennis coach
Sofia Rachi has made her first addition to the roster, as Candice Bernier (Repentigny, Canada) has signed to join the team in the spring semester, the program has announced.
Bernier has been competing in tennis since a young age, and has participated in each Canadian championship since she was 10 years old. Her best result is an 11th place finish in singles, and third in doubles. She has also won the Quebec championships in singles and doubles.
Bernier has also gained attention in the rankings, landing as high as 37th in Canada, and fifth in Quebec. She also represented Quebec during the Quebec games, and won a silver medal with her team.
Originally from France, Bernier enjoys many different sports, and spending time with her friends and family.
