CARY, N.C. – North Carolina Central's Randy Rakotoarilala completed competition at the 2026 ITA Women's All-American Championships on Sunday afternoon, becoming the first Eagle from the women's tennis team to compete in the event in the Division I era. The pre-qualifying rounds were held Sept. 19-20 at Cary Tennis Park.

Rakotoarilala opened play Saturday against Oklahoma State's Claudia Gasparovic, falling 6-1, 6-2. She returned to the court Sunday for another opportunity against North Texas' Lou Chalard. Rakotoarilala won seven games across the two-set match, but Chalard claimed both sets to end Rakotoarilala's run in the tournament.

NCCU will return to Cary Tennis Park on Oct. 1-3 for the MEAC Invitational. The conference singles and doubles champions will earn a trip to the ITA Conference Masters later this fall.
