DURHAM, N.C. – North Carolina Central University senior guard
C.J. Keyser (Baltimore, Md.) has added one more accolade to the list as he has been named National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Second Team All-District, the organization announced on Tuesday, March 16.
Keyser was named First Team All-MEAC after he finished the regular season third in the league in scoring with 16.4 points per game, and eighth in field goal percentage at 46.8. He earned Player of the Week honors once during the season when he became one of the first 15 players in NCAA Division I to score 30+ points in a game, as he put in a career-high 33 points in an overtime win over Southern on Nov. 26.
Keyser reached double-digits in scoring in all 13 games the Eagles played this season, and scored 20+ points twice as he put in 22 points against Carver on Jan. 29. He also led the Eagles in scoring eight times this season.
