Eagles’ Lattimore Earns BOXTOROW HBCU First Team All-American Honors

DURHAM, N.C. – North Carolina Central men's basketball guard Gage Lattimore was named to the 2025-26 BOXTOROW HBCU All-American First Team, announced Monday.

The honor marks the sophomore's second first-team recognition this season after he was previously named to the All-MEAC First Team. Lattimore was also selected to the 2026 MEAC All-Tournament Team following the championship game against Howard, along with teammate Dionte Johnson.

A Greensboro, N.C., native, Lattimore finished the season averaging 16.6 points and 4.3 rebounds per game. He spent much of the year ranked in the top three in several MEAC statistical categories, including scoring, free-throw percentage and three-point field-goal percentage.

Lattimore led the Eagles in scoring throughout the season, highlighted by a career-high 38-point performance against Bluefield State earlier in the year. The sophomore scored in double figures in all but four games during his first season in the Nest.
