DURHAM, N.C. – North Carolina Central University continues its home stand with a midweek matchup against Campbell University on Tuesday, March 22 at the Durham Athletic Park.
NCCU (10-11, 3-3 MEAC) is coming off of a walkoff win over division foe Bethune-Cookman on Sunday, and the Eagles are looking to carry that momentum into the game with Campbell (11-10, 0-0 Big South) before returning to Southern Division play against Savannah State University.
The Eagles will bring slugger 
Carlos Ortiz (Cleveland, Ohio) into the game after he swatted two home runs in the last series with B-CU.  Ortiz has totaled 10 extra base hits, and is tied for the team lead with five home runs, and has four doubles and a triple.  He's driven in a team-high 16 RBI and sports a team-high .727 slugging percentage.
Campbell last hosted North Carolina A&T State University for a three-game weekend series and swept the Aggies to put together a now four-game winning streak, while scoring more than 10 runs in each win.
Matt Parrish (McGee's Crossroads, N.C.) has been the engine for the Camels this season and he is tied for second in the Big South with a team-high 24 RBI.  Parrish has notched four doubles and two triples and carries a team-best .393 batting average, and has an on-base percentage of .433.
