Iris Floet claimed the Doubles B Flight championship for host North Carolina Central University in the 2016 NCCU Invitational contested on Thursday and Friday at the NCCU Tennis Courts.
The Lady Eagles won a total of six matches in the two-day event, including a trio of singles and doubles contests.
Cnossen and Floet won both of their matches together on day one while junior

Lynsey Cover won a doubles consolation match. Cnossen, Rogers and Cover all then picked up exhibition singles victories on the second day of competition.
The rookie tandem of Cnossen and Floet secured the Doubles B Flight with a pair of convincing wins. The duo first produced an 8-2 conquest of a Davidson College team and then knocked off a UNC Wilmington squad, 8-3, in the championship match.
Rogers and Cover bounced back from an opening loss to UNCW with an 8-4 consolation win over Charlotte in Friday's afternoon session. NCCU went a combined 3-2 in its five doubles matches.
In singles action, Cnossen and Rogers both got in the win column during Friday's first session against A Flight entrants. Cnossen rolled to a dominating 6-0, 6-1 victory over Davidson's senior Sarah Stein. Rogers had to gut out a three-set encounter in her exhibition win, eventually topping UNCW's freshman Celeste Matute by a 6-2, 4-6, 10-8 margin.
Cover notched the Lady Eagles third singles win in Friday's second session. Cover trailed UNCW's junior Thai Thompson 5-1 in their super-set tilt before rallying to win the next seven games to pick up the 8-5 comeback victory.
Senior
