MEAC ANNOUNCES PREDICTED ORDER TO FINISH FOR MEN’S AND WOMEN’S TENNIS

Lady Eagles expected to finish fourth, while Eagles are presumed to finish fifth

DURHAM, N.C. (www.NCCUEaglePride.com) –
On Tuesday, Jan. 10 the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference announced the preseason team accolades for the men’s and women’s tennis program with the Lady Eagles selected to finish fourth, as the Eagles are expected to finish fifth.

While both the men’s and women’s squads are members of the Southern Division of the MEAC, the women’s Southern Division consists of seven teams, as the men’s Southern Division is comprised of five squads.

Among the women’s division, NCCU is selected to finish above Norfolk State, North Carolina A&T and Savannah State, while South Carolina State, who are the defending MEAC champions, are predicted to seize another MEAC title.

The Lady Eagles kick-off the regular season on Sunday, Jan. 29 in Charlotte, N.C. against UNC Charlotte, as the Eagles launch their season on Sunday, Feb. 5 against Duke in Durham, N.C.
