The three-day tournament consisted of two flights of singles play and two flights of doubles play by student-athletes from NCCU, North Carolina State, East Carolina, Monmouth and the host team UNC Wilmington.

Senior Trey Chatman and freshman Andres Perez earned first round wins for the Eagles during the Flight B singles. Chatman swept Jon Silverstein of Monmouth in two sets, 6-4, 6-3. Perez dominated his first round play, defeating Anthony Desarno of Monmouth, 6-1, 6-0. Regrettably for NCCU, both Chatman and Perez both fell upon advancing to the second round.
