NCCU Volleyball Releases 2025 Schedule

DURHAM, N.C. - North Carolina Central unveiled its volleyball schedule for the 2025 season on Monday, July 28.

The schedule features eight home matches at McDougald-McLendon Arena including seven against MEAC opponents. The Eagles will also compete in the Seahawk Classic and the Georgetown/George Washington Event. All home matches will be livestreamed on ESPN+.

"This schedule marks more than just games on a calendar, it's the beginning of a new era for this team," said Jonathan Paulk, entering his first season as NCCU Head Coach.

NCCU makes its season debut in the Seahawk Classic on Aug. 29-30 in Wilmington, N.C. The Eagles take on Virginia Tech and Lindenwood on Aug. 29 and UNC Wilmington, the host team, on Aug. 30.

The Eagles' home opener is Sept. 2 against Gardner-Webb. Then they head to Washington, D.C., for the Georgetown/George Washington Event on Sept. 5-6. Their opponents are Georgetown and George Washington on Sept. 5 and Temple on Sept. 6.

The trip to Washington, D.C., begins a seven-match road stretch. The Eagles visit USC Upstate on Sept. 9, UNC Asheville on Sept. 16, Radford on Sept. 22 and Elon on Sept. 24.

NCCU opens MEAC play at home against Delaware State on Sept. 26 and Maryland Eastern Shore on Sept. 28. A road match against Charleston Southern on Sept. 30 is followed by visits to Morgan State on Oct. 3 and Coppin State on Oct. 5.

The Eagles host Howard on Oct. 10 and Norfolk State on Oct. 12 before heading to South Carolina State on Oct. 17 in the first of four away matches. The road slate includes visits to Gardner-Webb on Oct. 21, Delaware State on Oct. 24 and Maryland Eastern Shore on Oct. 26.

Three of the last five regular-season matches are at home. The Eagles host Morgan State on Oct. 31, Coppin State on Nov. 2 and South Carolina State on Nov. 14 in the regular-season finale. They travel to Howard on Nov. 7 and Norfolk State on Nov. 9.

The MEAC Championship Tournament will be held in Baltimore, Md. on Nov. 20-22.
