NCCU Volleyball Announces 2026 Schedule

DURHAM, N.C. – Twelve home matches during the regular season highlight the 2026 North Carolina Central volleyball schedule, which was released Wednesday.

The non-conference home slate features matches against Gardner-Webb on Sept. 1, UNC Asheville on Sept. 8, USC Upstate on Sept. 11, Radford on Sept. 15 and Elon on Nov. 12.

In MEAC play, the Eagles host Morgan State on Oct. 2, Coppin State on Oct. 4, South Carolina State on Oct. 16, Delaware State on Oct. 23, Maryland Eastern Shore on Oct. 25, Howard on Nov. 6 and Norfolk State on Nov. 8.

The Eagles make its first home appearance in a scrimmage against Fayetteville State on Aug. 24. The Eagles will also travel to Duke for a scrimmage on Aug. 19.

NCCU opens the regular season at the MEAC/SWAC Challenge in Huntsville, Ala., on Aug. 28-29. The Eagles take on Arkansas-Pine Bluff and host Alabama A&M on Aug. 28 and Florida A&M on Aug. 29.

The MEAC/SWAC Challenge begins a non-conference road schedule that includes matches against rival N.C. A&T on Sept. 10, UNC Greensboro on Sept. 12, UNC Wilmington and Winthrop in the Winthrop Invitational on Sept. 19 and Gardner-Webb on Oct. 20.

The Eagles start their MEAC road schedule at Delaware State on Sept. 25. They also visit Maryland Eastern Shore on Sept. 27, Norfolk State on Oct. 8, Howard on Oct. 9, Morgan State on Oct. 30, Coppin State on Nov. 1 and South Carolina State on Nov. 13.

The MEAC Championship Tournament is set for Nov. 19-21 in Baltimore, Md.

Home matches will be held at McDougald-McLendon Arena with the exception of the Oct. 2 match versus Morgan State and the Oct. 4 match against Coppin State. The sites for both matches will be announced at a later date.
