MORGANTON, N.C. – Trinity Ahing of North Carolina Central placed among the top 30 golfers in the Mimosa Hills Intercollegiate on Tuesday.
Ahing finished in a four-way tie for 28
th place in the 58-player field at the par 72, 6,274-yard Mimosa Hills Golf course layout. The NCCU senior shot 82-80-82 for a 28-over 244 to lead the Eagles. The first and second rounds were held Monday and the final round was played Tuesday.
Josefina Rendo tied for 39
th with a 34-over 250 and
Cailynn Winford tied for 41
st with a 35-over 251 for NCCU, which placed ninth out of 10 teams with a 133-over 997.
The tournament ended the regular season for the Eagles. Their next match is the Northeast Conference Championship at Kingsmill Resort Plantation Course in Williamsburg, Va., on April 11-13.
