GREENWOOD, Ind. – Senior Keishon Porter and redshirt senior Isaac Parson of the North Carolina Central University men's basketball team were selected by the College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA) to the 2024-25 Academic All-District Team announced on Tuesday afternoon.
Porter and Parson each met the academic standing, academic eligibility and athletic eligibility required to be selected. Both student-athletes have earned cumulative grade point averages above 3.50.
In his senior campaign, Porter started 32 games and averaged 10.8 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.3 steals in 25.3 minutes per game. He shot 47.9 percent from the field this season and finished top-10 in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference in free-throw percentage at 72.2 percent.
Parson, a Kinston, N.C. native, played a sixth-man role in his first season at NCCU, coming off the bench in 24 of 26 games and averaging 7.8 points and a MEAC-leading 4.3 assists per game. Parson also led the conference in assist-to-turnover ratio at 2.1 and earned 1,000 career points. He hit several game-winners this season, including in the quarterfinals of the MEAC Tournament over Delaware State, sending the Maroon & Gray to the semifinals.
