GREENSBORO, N.C. – Junior Kendall Wallace led the North Carolina Central University men's golf team with a 19th place individual result at the Aggie Invitational hosted by North Carolina A&T State University at Bryan Park on Monday-Tuesday, March 27-28.
 
Senior Daniel Barbare and junior Trey Morse joined Wallace in the upper half of the field with top-25 finishes for each of those Eagles.
 
Wallace carded consistent rounds of 77, 75 and 78 on the Champions Course at Bryan Park that played as a difficult 7,264-yard, par-72 layout. In cooler temps and high winds, Wallace made 36 pars in the 54-hole tournament, which was tied for the fifth most in the two-day event. His 14-over par total of 230 was good for his fourth top-20 result of the 2022-23 season.
 
Barbare (77-77-79) finished three strokes behind Wallace in a tie for 22nd overall with a total score of 233. Morse followed one shot back with a three-round sum of 234 to slip in the upper half of the 50-player field with a tie for 25th result.
 
Freshman Kyle Gregory paced the maroon and gray with seven birdies and had NCCU's lowest round of the tourney with a two-over 74 in Monday's afternoon round. Junior Alex Burnett turned in a better scorecard in each loop around Bryan Park and his 83 on Tuesday was a new collegiate tournament best round.

The Eagles finished in seventh place out of nine teams, collecting wins against Tennessee State University and High Point University. Elon University won the team title 32 strokes clear of second place Alabama State University as the Phoenix had four players place in the top-10, including tournament medalist Landon Durham (shot two-under par 72-68-74—214).
 
NC Central will next complete in the Stitch Intercollegiate hosted by North Carolina State University at Lonnie Poole Golf Course in Raleigh, North Carolina, on Friday-Saturday, April 7-8.
