SAVANNAH, Ga. – Junior
Kendall Wallace slipped inside the top-50 individuals at The Savannah Intercollegiate hosted by SCAD Savannah at The Club at Savannah Harbor to highlight play for the North Carolina Central University men's golf team in its first competition of the spring season contested on Saturday-Sunday, Feb. 18-19.
Wallace has turned in NCCU's top performance for a third consecutive tournament with his middle of the pack finish in Savannah.
Wallace, who was competing on a course less than three hours from his hometown of Blythewood, South Carolina, carded rounds of 77, 73 and 77 on the 7,084-yard, par-72 layout at Savannah Harbor. His 11-over par total of 227 was good for a tie for 47th place out of 90 entrants. Wallace's 73 in Saturday's second round was the lowest scorecard of any Eagle.
