Justin Wright (Greenville, N.C.) has earned another postseason accolade, as he was announced as a BOXTOROW First Team All-American on Wednesday, March 23.
This season as a sophomore, Wright became the youngest Eagle to be named First Team All-MEAC, and did so by averaging 20.1 points per game in 11 contests against league opponents. He scored over 20 points against MEAC competition seven times, including a career-high 32-point outburst against Delaware State in a big comeback on Feb. 19. Against all foes, Wright averaged 13.7 points per game to finish fifth in the league, and he finished fourth in field goal percentage at a 51.5 percent success rate.
This is now the sixth consecutive year an NCCU student-athlete has been selected as a BOXTOROW All-American, stretching back to 2017.
