DURHAM, N.C. – The North Carolina Central University baseball program returns to action on Tuesday, April 6 to play the second scheduled game with Duke University at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park.
 
The Eagles and Blue Devils met not along ago on March 16, and Duke came away with a 7-4 victory.

Scouting the Eagles:
NCCU is currently 10-8, and 2-2 in league play after splitting a MEAC Southern Division series with North Carolina A&T.  Freshman catcher Chet Sikes (Trinity, N.C.) leads the Eagles at the plate with a .320 batting average, and he has compiled 16 hits with five doubles.  Caleb McRoy (Raleigh, N.C.) is one of the top arms from the bullpen for NCCU, and he carries a 2.40 ERA with seven appearances and one start.  McRoy also has 21 strikeouts and one save.
 
Scouting the Blue Devils:
Duke returns home after a tough weekend series with Miami who is ranked 11th in the nation, and the Blue Devils now have a record of 11-13.  Duke is 8-6 at home inside the Durham Bulls Athletic Park, and have won four of its last six on its home turf.
 
Duke has three batters hitting above .300, led by RJ Schreck (Los Angeles, Calif.) who is enjoying a .329 success rate at the dish with a team-high 28 hits.  He also leads the team with five home runs and 19 RBI, and has a .553 slugging percentage.  Jimmy Loper (Chesapeake, Va.) is Duke's go-to reliever in late game situations, and he leads the bullpen with four saves.  He also has a 2.65 ERA in 17.0 innings pitched, and has struck out 22 batters.
