STARTING FIVE:

LeVelle Moton sits just one win shy from becoming the third coach in program history to reach 200 wins.
2. NCCU will play 11 of its 14 non-conference games away from home, and three of those at a neutral site.
3. NCCU will face six first-time opponents during the non-conference slate.

SCOUTING UNC ASHEVILLE
This will be a rare road trip for NCCU, as it will share common last game opponents with both UNC Asheville and The Citadel. Both squads met in Asheville on Tuesday, Dec. 1, and UNCA came away with a 65-58 victory. UNCA is 4-3, and has won all three contests at home. They have three different players averaging 9.9 points per game: Jamon Battle, Tajion Jones, and LJ Thorpe. Thorpe had a joint game-high 16 points with eight rebounds in the victory over The Citadel. This is the first matchup between NCCU and UNCA in 38 years.

SCOUTING THE CITADEL
The Citadel also have four wins so far this season, and are starting a four-game home stand with this game against NCCU. The Citadel started the season with an impressive 78-63 win over Pittsburgh on the road, spearheaded by 27 points from Jason Roche. In the last game at UNC Asheville, Hayden Brown had a near double-double with 16 points and nine boards. This will be the first meeting between NCCU and The Citadel.

EAGLES ON TOUR
NCCU will head on its second four-game road trip of the season from Nov. 29-Dec. 6 as it visits Gardner-Webb, USC Upstate, UNC Asheville and The Citadel. This is the second time in the last three seasons where the Eagles have had multiple four-game road trips. The last time it happened was during the 2019-20 season: Nov. 26-Dec. 7 and Jan. 11-20.
