FUQUAY-VARINA, N.C. – North Carolina Central University men's basketball junior
Raasean Davis (Chicago, Ill.) has collected another postseason honor as he was named to the BOXTOROW Division-I All-America First Team.
This award comes to Davis after already earning Second Team All-MEAC and NABC Second Team All-District honors.
Davis started all 35 games of the 2017-18 campaign and led the team with 15.1 points and 8.1 rebounds per contest. He pulled down 282 rebounds, the most at NCCU since Charles Murphy tallied 315 during the 1983-84 season. Davis led the MEAC in field-goal percentage and will finish top-five in the NCAA with a mark of 67.1 percent of made attempts. Davis pulled down 11 double-doubles, and averaged 12.5 points and 12.3 rebounds per game during the MEAC Tournament on his way to being named to the All-Tournament team.
Thirteen schools are represented on the 2018 BOXTOROW Division I men's college basketball All-America teams. BOXTOROW has administered the All-America team since 2009.
