Bohannon Leads NCCU Golf at Cape Fear National Intercollegiate


WILMINGTON, N.C. – North Carolina Central University junior Jordan Bohannon tied for 28th place out of 95 golfers on the individual leaderboard with scores of 77-78-75 at the annual Cape Fear National Intercollegiate, hosted by Appalachian State University on March 19-20.
 
Bohannon carded six birdies and played the par-5 holes at 2-under-par, finishing with a three-round total of 230.
 
Fellow junior Zane Lewis was close behind on the leaderboard with scores of 82-80-73 for a total 235, including the team's best round of 73 (+1) in Monday's final round to tie for 44th place.
 
NCCU sophomore Samuel Bradley posted scores of 84-82-76 (242) to tie for 64th place.
 
As a team, NCCU finished with a total score of 955 to place 12th out of 16 teams. The Eagles placed ahead of Fairfield University (958) and Iona College (958).
 
Jacksonville State won the tournament with score of 890, while Florida Gulf Coast was the runner-up with a score of 898.
 
The Eagles are back in action on April 1-2 at the Manor Intercollegiate, hosted by Longwood University at the Manor Golf Club in Farmville, Virginia.
