DURHAM, N.C. – The North Carolina Central University volleyball team continues a season-long, four-match home stand on Tuesday when the Lady Eagles entertain Elon University at 6 p.m.

N.C. Central Volleyball
The Lady Eagles went five sets to begin Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Southern Division playr in their last match Thursday. NCCU (0-12, 0-1 MEAC) dropped the battle against North Carolina A&T State University.
NCCU has a couple specialists that rank in the top-10 of the MEAC in their respective position. Junior libero
Bree Simmons sits eighth with 3.64 digs per set. Senior setter
Paige Phillips is positioned sixth with 7.29 assists per set.
Offensively, freshman

Kierra Shipman and junior
Whitney White all average over two points per set to pace the Lady Eagles. Miller is contributing a team-high 1.93 kills per set. Shipman is coming off a career-high 14 kill performance and is averaging 1.77 kills per set. White ranks eighth in the MEAC with a .262 hitting percentage. NCCU lost a road match at Elon, 3-1, on Sept. 9. In the first meeting, Alcox produced 12 kills and White supplied 10. Phillips tallied 40 assists and Simmons notched 16 digs.
Elon Volleyball
The Phoenix started Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) play with four consecutive home games. Elon (12-6, 2-2 CAA) defeated Delaware and William & Mary while dropping battles to Towson and James Madison.
Senior outside hitter Sydney Busa is a reigning Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) all-conference honoree and she is pacing the Phoenix with 4.33 kills per set. Junior Kam Terry follows closely behind Busa with 3.86 kills per set.
Junior Maddie Jaudon leads Elon with 4.48 digs per set and freshman Kodi Garcia has taken over at setter and is dishing out 10.69 assists per set.
Busa and Terry delivered for Elon in its four-set home win against NCCU with 21 and 20 kills, respectively. The Phoenix hit .252 and Garcia totaled a match-high 46 assists.
