Jordan Bohannon each posted under-par scores to help lead the Eagles to a fourth place team finish at the annual National HBCU Hall of Fame Invitational on Sept. 23-24 at Browns Mill Golf Club in Atlanta.
Tate (Raleigh, N.C.) carded consecutive rounds of 71 (-1) to finish the tournament at 2-under par and tie for fifth place on the individual leaderboard.
Bohannon (Southfield, Mich.) shot an even-par 72 then a 1-under par 71 to tie for seventh place out of 70 golfers.
NCCU junior
Zane Lewis (Sanford, N.C.) tied for 28th place with scores of 75 and 77, while sophomore transfer
Samuel Bradley (Sanford, N.C.) tied for 38th place with rounds of 77 and 78. Freshman
Nathan Corley (Farmington Hills, Mich.) made his NCCU debut to tie for 51st place with tallies of 80 and 81.
In the 12-team field, NCCU placed fourth with team scores of 295 and 297 for a total of 592. Alabama State (288-285=573) and Texas Southern (293-290=583) were the top two teams.
NCCU returns to the course on Oct. 10-11 for the Donald Ross Intercollegiate, hosted by Appalachian State at Mimosa Hills Country Club in Morganton, North Carolina.
