DURHAM, N.C. – North Carolina Central University junior cheerleader
Alexis Anderson has been named the NCCU Student-Athlete of the Month for August 2016 in recognition of her outstanding accomplishments on the sideline, in the classroom and in the community.
A native of Charlotte, North Carolina, Anderson is in her third year as a member of the NCCU varsity cheerleading squad.
She boasts an overall grade point average of 3.81, majoring in political science and history.
Anderson's numerous community service efforts include the J.F. Webb High School Cheer Camp, a visit to Fayetteville Street Elementary School, college fair activities and a host of campus activities.
