DURHAM, N.C. – Senior Aissa Muamba and freshman Jasmine Gabriel picked up wins for host North Carolina Central University in a 5-2 non-conference women's tennis loss to visiting Longwood University at the NCCU Tennis Courts Saturday afternoon.
 
The Lancers moved to 8-10 overall and the Lady Eagles slipped to 3-10.
 
Muamba and Gabriel dominated their singles matches, losing just two games apiece. Muamba conquered her top-flight opposition 6-2, 6-0 and Gabriel was successful by a 6-0, 6-2 margin on the fourth court.
 
Muamba moved over .500 on the season at 6-5. Gabriel improved her rookie ledger to 3-9.
 
Longwood swept doubles and won the other four singles bouts in straight sets.
 
NCCU will host Appalachian State University in its Senior Day match on Sunday at 1 p.m.
