2015-16: MEAC Rookie of the Week (April 6, 2016) ... Finished 17 singles dual matches as a freshman, playing from No. 2-4 in the lineup  ... Picked up five wins against Western Carolina, North Carolina A&T, Longwood, Appalachian State and Hampton ... Tallied four doubles wins, earning a pair of victories with both Tamara Jeremic and Mia Ramic.

HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Olympic High School and played her final prep season with the Trojans ... played her first three seasons of varsity tennis at Weddington High School ... had an undefeated high school career in duel matches and was a four-time team MVP while serving as team captain ... went on to win three state singles qualifiers and four state doubles qualifiers.

PERSONAL: Broadcast journalism major at NCCU ... First picked up a racquet at age five and her father, Sterling, and Samuel Joseph served as her primary coaches throughout her childhood ... won her first NC State Closed Championship at 10 years old and won every age division in both singles and doubles up to 17 ...  won the girls 16s doubles in the Bullfrog (Auburn, Alabama) and won the 14s-16s Southern doubles ... earned the Jay Chitty sportsmanship award out of 350 players at the Cary State Closed Championship and participated in the Zonals at Wake Forest before finishing her junior career as a five-star performer ... daughter of Nichole and Sterling Gabriel and is one of four children including Gabby, Myah and Sterling II ... involved with her church and likes to volunteer.
