JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. - North Carolina Central University held a 14-point second-half advantage at East Tennessee State University, as the Eagles appeared to be well on their way to their 11th consecutive victory. The host Buccaneers, however, closed the contest on a 15-1 run, including the go-ahead three-pointer by Jalen Riley with 13 seconds left to provide ETSU with a 61-59 come-from-behind victory inside Freedom Hall on Saturday night.

Jordan Parks made the Eagles' advantage 58-46 with 5:44 remaining in the game.
That's when things started to unravel for NCCU.
During the last 5:30, NCCU committed four turnovers, shot 0-for-4 from the field and connected on just 1-for-4 from the free throw line, including two misses on front-ends of one-and-one opportunities.
Riley scored the last 12 points of the night for the Bucs (13-8) with three free throws and three trifectas to finish with a game-high 24 points.
Dante Holmes topped NCCU (16-6) with a career-high 12 rebounds, while
Nimrod Hilliard distributed a career-best 13 assists.
NCCU returns to Durham on Monday, Feb. 2 with a 31-game home win streak on the line against Florida A&M at 7:30 p.m.
