NCCU GOLF FINISHES FOURTH AT FAMU SPRING INVITATIONAL

Eagles Post Second-Best Team Score of 2013-14 Season

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The North Carolina Central University men's golf team posted the second-best team score of the season in the final round of the Florida A&M Spring Invitational on Sunday to finish in fourth place.
 
The Eagles' tally of 298 ranked second among the team scores recorded on Sunday. Only event winner Alabama State notched a better mark on the day with a 288.
 
NCCU senior Glendon Mabe carded an even-par 72 in the final round to go along with Saturday's 78 to tie for 11th place on the individual leaderboard.
 
Fellow seniors Spencer Jones (75, 76) and J.T. Thomas (77, 75) finished in 12th and 13th place respectively for the Eagles. Sophomore Michael Wilson tied for 17th place with scores of 79 and 75.
 
NCCU returns to the links on April 25-27 for the MEAC Championship at Crosswinds Golf Club in Savannah, Ga.
