After a four-game road stretch, North Carolina Central University returns to McDougald-McLendon Gymnasium for just the third home game of the season against the Sabers of Barber-Scotia College. The Eagles, riding a 25-game home win streak, are looking to get back on track after suffering back-to-back road losses to Maryland and Memphis.

- The Barber-Scotia Sabers are coming off an 89-80 road victory over Warren Wilson on Monday, Dec. 15.
- Barber-Scotia is a Division II member of the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA), based in Newport News, Virginia.
- The Sabers snapped an eight-game losing skid by winning two of their last three games.
- Four Sabers average double figures in scoring, topped by ShaQuille Wilson (Jr., G, 6-1) with 15.0 points per game and Christopher Calvan (Sr., F, 6-5) with 14.3 points per contest.
